In the book of revelation, the letter to the churches were churches in the Territorial level. So, God sent messages to the pastor in charge of the churches so that they can amend their ways.
The ideal church is a church that gives accurate witness of Christ in the territory. It is a church that gives light and not partner with darkness but exposes darkness.
He mentioned that such a church is an enemy of darkness because the devil will seek to quench their light. The church of God is the hope of a territory because they stand to bring witnesses of Christ and teaching that shows people the way and lifestyle of Christ.
So, he charged the people to remain relevant as to the program of God as concerning His church.
