Dr. John Akpami is a medical doctor by profession and studied medicine at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Tundun Wada, and Zaria. He celebrated his 64th birthday in the year 2010. In 1983, he encountered the Lord while he was praying in his closet during the days of his medical practice. His encounter with the Lord led him to start a mini bible study group with some people in his environment. Dr. John Akpami was committed to this vision and began to mature people in Christ through small group bible study.

The reward of good work is more responsibility. This small bible study grew such that in the year 1987, Dr. John Akpami established or open a revival ministry in the North called Christian Teaching Centre Family Church. The recent update is that Rev. Global Revival Gospel Ministries founded Global Revival Gospel Ministries. The ministry is located in Kaduna state (Zaria).

The ministry was committed and still committed to the vision of equipping Christians for Kingdom lifestyle, maturity, and service. Glad to tell you that Rev. Dr. John Akpami (Global Revival Gospel Ministries) has been recorded as the fastest-growing church in the North.

Rev. Dr. John Akpami is an itinerant preacher and teacher of God’s word. Rev Dr. John Akpami has raised many Apostles and Ministers in the fivefold, through biblical discipleship. He is a trainer of Ministers.  It is pleased to tell you that Rev Dr. John Akpami is the spiritual father of Apostle Arome Osayi. Apostle Arome Osayi hosted him at the yearly International Eagles Conference in 2023 at Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria.

He regularly invites Apostle Arome Osayi to some of his meeting and in 2023, he invited Apostle Edu Udechukwu of Revival Hub international to their Church youth conference.

Rev Dr. John Akpami holds a yearly conference tagged: International Overcomers Convention. Some of the key ministers of this convention are Dr. John AkpamiApostlele Arome Osayi, Dr. Mike Akpami Clara, Prof. Mossy Madugba, and a host of others.

Global Revival Gospel Ministries International has its headquarters in Zaria Nigeria. The church has branches in other parts of the world.
